We Don’t Need No Stinkin’ Voter ID Laws….

So….our esteemed Attorney General is doing his level best to strike down Voter ID laws in many states. Voter ID laws that would require that people PROVE WHO THEY ARE with photo ID. Mr. Holder claims that requiring people to obtain picture ID would present a hardship for them, and that by imposing this requirement on them, these states are somehow “disenfranchising” them.

Well, James O’Keefe and the folks at Project Veritas have turned the tables on Mr. Holder:

.
How does it feel being disenfranchised, Mr. Holder?

Having any second thoughts about those laws that require a photo ID?

(I love the sound of this weasel being hoisted on his own petard….)

Were You There?

.

Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the common hall, and gathered unto him the whole band of soldiers.

And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe.

And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!

And they spit upon him, and took the reed, and smote him on the head.

And after that they had mocked him, they took the robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him, and led him away to crucify him.

Adventures in Gardening

.
Our future son-in-law is visiting from England for the next couple of weeks. (I lovingly refer to him as “The Boy” in my blog posts – it’s a term of endearment; he is the nicest young man!)

Heโ€™s such a sweetie โ€“ Tuesday morning, he draggedย Sarah outside to finish up some gardening that we had started over the weekend.

Auntie Em! Auntie Em!

Well, we had a little excitement here today. Early in the afternoon, tornadoes developed over the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.

We heard the weather sirens going off, so I checked the weather and noticed that we were under a tornado warning.

The Boy is visiting from England right now, and he sounded somewhat concerned. I assured him there was nothing to worry about – we hardly ever have large tornadoes touch down; the sirens are mostly to make us aware to be on the lookout.

Ummmm….

Blasts from the Past

Many times I find myself starting a blog post, and as I get further into it, it takes on a life of its own and becomes something quite different from what I had originally planned….
….This is one of those posts.
.

This didn't start out to be a post about propaganda.....

The thing I love about the Internet is that you can just start digging and you never know what you may find. It’s kind of like going to the Public Library and getting lost in the stacks on a rainy afternoon – one thing leads to another, which leads to another, which leads to another, and pretty soon you’re in a completely different part of the building, reading about something that you never realized you were interested in.

For an information junkie like me, the Internet is my “drug” of choice – I can’t get enough of it. Anyway, I thought I’d share some of what I found while I was out spelunking among the pixels and the terrabytes this weekend….

Why Health “Insurance” Costs So Much…..

Remy Munasifi hilariously explains the whole problem that people have with Obamacare’s “One Size Fits All” requirement for health insurance:

I really wish someone could explain how INSURANCE works to all of these Democrats; it’s obvious they don’t understand the concept of insurance being a way to manage RISK, not a way to pay for maintenance costs….
