We joined the ranks of those who have lost a child 6 1/2 months ago – our 2nd daughter, Michelle, committed suicide on September 3, 2017. The paramedics were able to get vital signs back, but she was already “gone”. She was kept alive by machines until September 7, until all of our family and friends had a chance to say goodbye. Becky and Dave drove up to be with us at the hospital – they knew firsthand what losing a child is.
Our youngest daughter, Rebecca, was born 6 weeks after Jonathan’s death – she had bright blue eyes, just like Jonathan (they turned brown a few months later, but it was as if Jonathan was telling us that he was watching over her).
I copied the posts that I put up on Facebook to this blog, if you are interested. They link back to my FB page as well. I also wrote a post title “This is Marriage”, which talks about our journey after her death.
