Still Crazy (In Love) After All These Years

Forty-six years ago today, two starry-eyed kids said “I do”….

To my wonderful husband, Paul – thank you for all of the special memories, and for making me so incredibly happy.

You have always made me laugh, and for that I am eternally grateful.

You have stuck by me through thick and thin, and you have loved me even at my most unlovable.

You have always made me feel like a beautiful swan, even though I always thought that I was an ugly duckling.

You have been my rock whenever I stumbled and needed a source of quiet strength and a place to rest.

You have blessed me with four beautiful daughters, and your love and devotion to them makes me fall in love with you more each passing day.

I don’t know what I did to deserve someone as wonderful as you, but I thank God every day for bringing us together.

I love you so very, very much.

Sincere congratulations! I die a little each time I hear about a D. So, yes, I do celebrate long marriages.

I once met a man and woman laughing like children. Both were well into their nineties. I just had to ask.

They had been married for 72 years and still were derply in love. I noticed they not once stopped holding hands as we spoke. When one would say something, they first looked at the other. Not as if for permission, but as in agreement. The fondness of one to the other was unmistakeable.

Their advice was to consider if it is worth it in the long run. Disagreements, I mean. Sure, they crop up from time to time, but remember, this is the one you chose and they chose you. As in the Holy Bible; do not let the sun go down on your anger.

You have me me beat with less than 2 years. We finish each other sentances.
