Since Sarah moved back in with us, she has been helping out a lot around the house. It’s been a real godsend for Paul and me, because she has taken over a lot of the tasks that I am no longer able to do.
I know that Paul rests easier knowing that Sarah is taking care of Rebecca and me while he is at work, and I am enjoying getting to spend time with her and watch her grow into a delightful and responsible young woman.
One of the things that she has recently started doing is brushing up her culinary skills. We’re her guinea pigs as she tries out new recipes before getting married, moving to England, and springing them on The Boy.
This having a “live-in” chef has been really, really tough.
No, really.
I mean, just look at what we were forced to eat last night:

Can you believe it? The horror!
And she insisted on doing the dishes, too.
At this rate, we may end up telling The Boy that he can’t have her….. 😛

[Update 07/17/12]: The Boy IM’ed Sarah this morning – “I just read your Mom’s blog – you’ve got to quit cooking for your parents!” He’s such a card….

Oooooh, that looks yummy!
