Well, THAT’S a Relief….

One of the hallmarks of Myasthenia Gravis is muscle fatiguability. After living post-diagnosis with this condition for over 2 years, I’ve come to accept that I’m going to have good days and bad days, and there is never any rhyme or reason as to how I’m going to feel on any given day.

This morning, I woke up and could tell that it wasn’t going to be a “great” day, but the early part of the day is usually much better than the end of the day (par for the course with MG).

I went downstairs, got a Coke out of the refrigerator (my caffeine “equivalent” of coffee), sat down, and started to twist the top off of the bottle – but I couldn’t get it to budge.

I’m thinking to myself, “This day is really gonna suck if I can’t even open a Coke bottle at 8 a.m.!” – so I keep trying. It still won’t budge. Finally, I admit defeat, hand it to Sarah, and ask her to help me.

She says, “You’re too tired to do that?  This early in the day?”
“I guess so.”

So Sarah tries to open it.
I hear lots of grunting noises, and then, “Whew! That was screwed on really tight!”

Well, thank goodness –
I was beginning to think my next stop was the nursing home…. 😛

Thanks to the search function I found your blog. I also have Myasthenia Gravis. Do you have many problems with your eyes with your MG? Lately I have been going through my first “episode” since my MG reared it’s ugly head into my life 😡 I’m just looking for other bloggers who have it and can maybe give me tips on how to get through their eye problems.

Thanks 🙂 PS – I love your header picture, Prague ❤
