A couple of interesting things have happened in the news lately that are completely unrelated, but for one thing: they make it glaringly obvious – to anyone who is willing to pay attention – that the people in whom the American people place their trust aren’t worthy of that trust.
In the recent Trayvon Martin/George Zimmerman story, it is becoming increasingly clear that the very journalists who ask us to trust them when they are “reporting” the news are guilty of manipulating their stories to fit a narrative.

After 30+ years, the man still makes me laugh.
As you may remember, we purchased a new washer and dryer earlier this week – they are supposed to be delivered sometime today.
Since Sarah is living at home right now, she gets up in the mornings and gets Rebecca ready for school while Paul is getting ready for work (Paul is so sweet – since my MG diagnosis, he lets me sleep in most mornings so that I don’t get too tired during the day).
This morning, as Paul is leaving for work, he leans across the bed, nibbles on my ear, and grins that mischievous grin that I love so much.
“Sooo…..when the new washer and dryer get here, you are going to wait until I get home to do a load of laundry, right? Because I want to be her ‘first’….”
I was laughing so hard, I almost fell out of bed. 😛

Our washing machine gave up the ghost yesterday. It had been giving us hints the past week or so, but when it sounded “wrong” yesterday afternoon, I went in to investigate and promptly got my feet all wet stepping in the water that was running out onto the floor.
Nothing I hate more than wet socks….

A Twitter war blew up the other night – lazy Capitalist that I am, I was laying on the couch, watching a TV show with my husband, so I missed all of the fun and excitement when Hilary Rosen – a highly paid spokesperson for the Democratic Party – temporarily lost her mind and made a bone-headed statement about how Ann Romney – the wife of the presumptive Republican candidate for President – doesn’t understand the plight of the Modern American Woman because Mrs. Romney has “never worked a day in her life”.
