My Advent Calendar of Music – Day #5: A Rockin’ Christmas

While I love the traditional Christmas carols that we sing in church, I also love many of the songs that I hear on the radio.  One of my favorites has always been “Rockin’ around the Christmas Tree”; no Christmas is complete until I have heard Brenda Lee a few times (couldn’t resist the video!):

.
I’m also quite fond of “Jingle Bell Rock” – there are several versions of this one out there, but the original by Bobby Helms is still my favorite:

.
Here is Chuck Berry’s toe-tapping tune “Run, Run Rudolph”:
.

.
Finally, I promised you “more Elvis”, so here ya go – the always-fun-to-hear “Here Comes Santa Claus”, as only The King can sing it:
.

.
Well, I hope you’ve enjoyed these tunes as much as I enjoyed finding them; have a great day!

Thanks. A good rocking selection. Looking forward to more reading here. You might enjoy the Christmas cornucopia series on the immortal jukebox which features booby helms and Elvis among many others. Regards Thom.
