To Have and To Hold….

Thirty-one years ago today, two starry-eyed kids said “I do”….

To my wonderful husband, Paul – thank you for all of the special memories, and for making me so incredibly happy.

You have always made me laugh, and for that I am eternally grateful.

You have stuck by me through thick and thin, and you have loved me even at my most unlovable.

You have always made me feel like a beautiful swan, even though I always thought that I was an ugly duckling.

You have been my rock whenever I stumbled and needed a source of quiet strength and a place to rest.

You have blessed me with four beautiful daughters, and your love and devotion to them makes me fall in love with you more each passing day.

I don’t know what I did to deserve someone as wonderful as you, but I thank God every day for bringing us together.

I love you so very, very much.

Congratulations – I am so glad that we have Paul in our family. I remember how scared I was when we drove you to the church (because of both of your ages), but you proved to me that you knew what you were doing. I also remember all of the pictures – and also being there for each of my grandchildren’s birth. I am so proud of all of you, and love you very much.

    • Awww, thanks, Mom! Now I have to find some Kleenex!

I remember that whole day, you kept asking me, “Are you SURE you want to do this? It’s not too late to back out!” – and then after the ceremony, you were saying, “I’m so happy for you!” and “Welcome to the family!”

We laughed about that for the longest time……

Congratulations to you both. These days anyone making it past 10 years as husband and wife is something. 20 years is (sadly) about as far as most go. But crossing the rubicon of 30 (or more) years … well that is time tested solid. Here is to you both having many, many more years together in each other’s arms and hearts.

  6. Sincere Congratulations! And a great job on the vid. I somehow feel “close” to all y’all, after spending five years just up the road in Keller, TX.

I’m also “Dell” from the AoSHQ.
