I have a friend who is going through a rough time right now – she has lost a couple of family members over the past few days. I went outside today and noticed that my lone rosebush is in full bloom – truly a celebration of life. I wanted to share some pictures I took this morning – hopefully they will bring some cheer.
Isn’t it always a joy when Spring comes and we are reminded that life does, indeed, go on? That God still has a plan for the Earth and each one of His creations? That there is Beauty all around us, if we will just take the time to seek it out?
I hope these pictures of life in bloom make your day just a little bit sweeter. Blessings to all of you. (And peace to Patty Ann and her family)
(For my friends in Texas, this is a rosebush from the Antique Rose Emporium named “Penelope” – truly a magnificent bloomer, her fragrance is exquisite, and she is practically thornless. Other personal favorites include “Duchesse de Brubant” – she blooms all spring and summer long, and “F.J. Lindheimer” – a rose that changes colors as he blooms.)

I love going to the Antique Rose Emporium. I purchased a rose named “Puerto Rico” for my mother back in 1995. Still going strong.
Blessings indeed 🙂
