Nineteen years ago today, a spirited whirlwind of a girl blew into our lives:
I had planned on doing a nice, long post with lots of pictures, but I’ve been kind of busy this past week. You see, tomorrow Sarah will be leaving for New York to start the newest phase of her life as she embarks on her college career.
We’ve been spending the past few days packing up all of the stuff in her room in preparation for her departure. I am happy to report that Jimmy Hoffa’s body was NOT found at the bottom of the pile, and we realized that there are some perfectly lovely hardwood floors in there!
Ah, well – maybe next year I’ll have time to do a better post. In the meantime, I just wanted to wish Sarah a very “Happy Birthday” – we’ve had a lot of fun watching her grow into a beautiful and talented young lady:
Happy birthday, sweetie – we are so very proud of you, and we love you very much!

Happy Birthday to my favorite #3 Grandaughter. You ought to be asleep by midnight also. Of course, when I was your age MANY, MANY years ago I could stay up late and still function the next day. Doesn’t work now.
Anyhow, have a wonderful birthday and a wonderful first year of college. Call me once in a while.
Love you very much,
Granny
