Weekend at Teresa’s – Bill Whittle, My Friend Annabelle, and the Go-Go’s

.
Most of the time, Bill Whittle says it much better than I ever could – this is no exception:

My friend Annabelle is a Democrat who is going all in for Mitt Romney this time around:

Words I would use to describe Mitt Romney: Moderate. Moral. Man of his word. Business acumen. Leadership skills. Political experience. No modern president of the United States can lay claim to all these descriptors, and they provide a stark contrast to what President Obama has brought to the job. These might seem like vague terms, but once I’m finished presenting the case for Mitt Romney, I think you might be inclined to agree. I’ve broken this down into the three major issues that I think take precedence over everything else in America right now: The economy, jobs, and budgets.

Hey, anyone with an avatar like hers is my kind of gal:

It’s Saturday and it’s hot, so I’m taking a mini-vacay from the world.

Ran across this in the sidebar at one of the blogs I visit a lot – almost fell out of my chair, I was laughing so hard. It’s nice to know that if Disney ever decides to take over the world, we’ve got folks out there who are figuring out how to infiltrate their most visible stronghold:

You guys are missing the obvious. Why a ground attack? This is a mythical structure defended by mythical beings, right? Two words: dragon attack. You mount up on dragons (preferably acid or fire-breathers) and you take that bitch down from above. Castles aren’t designed to withstand dragonfire, and you’ll melt the ramparts and everyone in them.

Paul, Sarah, and I went and saw the new Batman movie yesterday, and it totally rocks – HIGHLY recommended by the TiFW clan!

Paul’s nephew JJ and his wife Samantha were planning on coming to Fort Worth to celebrate their anniversary this weekend; we were going to meet them and treat them to a fancy dinner.  Unfortunately, their plans fell through, so we don’t get to play “cool aunt and uncle” this weekend….

Guess we’re just gonna be couch potatoes tonight –
.

.
Have a great weekend!

I loved the Go-gos as an 80s teen. Still wonderful. Thank you for sharing! (the video and my article)

    • When my oldest was in High School, they had an “80’s Day” – she asked me “What sort of stuff did you wear in the 80’s, Mom?”

I had to tell her that prior to 1986 I wore professional/work clothes and after 1986 either maternity clothes, work clothes, or “Stay-At-Home-Mom” clothes.

She was so disappointed in me….. 😛

  2. Love the links, but what cracked me up was the two other bloggers that “liked” this. They have the same avatar 😀
